A sunscreen oil is a highly protective SPF, available in an oil-based formulation that soaks in effortlessly and provides total skin hydration and protection.

Is this sunscreen oil reef safe?

Our Watermelon Sunscreen Oil SPF50 does not contain Oxybenzone or Octinoxate. This means it is considered ‘Hawaii Reef Bill Safe.’

What level of protection will this sunscreen oil provide?

Our Watermelon Sunscreen Oil offers broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection of 50+.

How often should I apply this sunscreen oil?

As with any SPF, we recommend initially applying this 20 minutes before your skin will be exposed to UVB/UVA rays. Re-apply after excessive swimming, towelling or sweating.

Is this sunscreen oil water-resistant?

No, this formula isn’t water resistant. We always recommend re-applying after excessive swimming, towelling or sweating. If you require extra protection, use in conjunction with water resistant sunscreen.

This sunscreen oil is enriched with watermelon fruit extract to protect and nourish the skin. It is also enriched with coconut oil and vitamin E to ensure hydration is locked in and soothed.

Does sunscreen oil help you tan?

While our Watermelon Sunscreen Oil provides the highest level of SPF +50 protection, the formulation will allow you to achieve a golden glow when outdoors for long periods. We always recommend being sun-safe, avoiding the sun during the peak of the day and wearing a hat, sunglasses and protective clothing.

How do you use the Watermelon Sunscreen Oil SPF50?

To use the sunscreen oil:

  1. Start with a clean, dry surface, 30 minutes before you intend to expose your skin to the sun.
  2. Depending on the size of the area, pour an appropriate amount of sunscreen oil on your skin or into your hands.
  3. Rub the sunscreen oil into your skin until all areas have been covered evenly.
  4. Wait for 30 minutes before any sun exposure

How do I remove the sunscreen oil?

To cleanse the skin after applying, use our delicious Body Wash and Body Scrub to gently remove any residue and nourish the skin. Follow up with our cult fave Antioxidant Body Whip to lock in your skin’s hydration.

How to guide

Shake the bottle well before use. Evenly apply a generous amount of oil onto dry skin 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours or after swimming.

    Very nice tan after vacation!

    I'm usually a fan of the Bali body oil, with pineapple scent, but this time I was looking for something with higher spf protection. First time using it, coming in bottle of 100ml which is great when traveling. Scent is not strong, and is very thick,high quality - so used only half bottle for entire vacation. The tan is beautiful get dark immediately, and I got a lot of compliments. I did not get any sunburn, so definitely high spf .

    Best tanning oil ever!

    This sunscreen oil is the best! Just got back from a week in the Caribbean sun and got the best bronzed glow ever with no burn. This oil goes on great and did not stain or damage my bikini. I will definitely be stocking up for my next vacation. Well done Balibody.
