The Easiest At Home Facial

If you've got a spare 15 minutes, you’ve got time for this simple at home facial.

While we’re stuck indoors for the foreseeable future, we all deserve a little TLC more than ever. It’s time to put your skin center stage and complete a mini at home facial. Sure, this facial might not emulate the same level of luxury that your beauty therapist does, but we promise this 15 minute facial will take your skin from dull to radiant. Follow this step by step routine for beyond glowing skin.

Step 1: Double cleanse

Start your at home facial with a clean base. Double cleansing is going to make this facial worthwhile. This 2 step process will ensure the proper removal of makeup, pollution and dirt. We recommend starting with an oil based cleanser. Oil based formulas not only dissolve stubborn makeup but also help balance the amount of oil in your skin as you cleanse. For the second cleanse, use a foaming cleanser and apply to dry skin. Massage the product into your face for at least a minute then rinse with lukewarm water.

Step 2: Exfoliate

It’s time to get rid of any dead skin cells and excess oil lurking on the surface of the skin. Using your favourite exfoliant, apply to your entire face and don’t forget the neck. Manoeuvre the product around your face, applying more product if needed for any problem areas. Rinse and dry your face with a clean towel.

BB pro tip: For a deeply, hydrating exfoliant, why not make your own. Using 1 tablespoon of our Natural Tanning and Body Oil to 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, mix together until a paste is formed. This exfoliant will not disappoint.

Step 3: Mask

Now your skin is clean, but it’s not clean enough! It’s time to draw out any impurities with a mask. You’re going to want to use a clay or charcoal mask, something that is going to get really tight on the skin and detoxify. Leave the mask on for a minimum of 10 minutes for best results.

Step 4: Moisturise

Now your face is cleaner than it ever has been before, it’s time to put all the good stuff back into the skin. Using your favourite supercharged, hard working moisturiser, preferably one containing hyaluronic acid, lightly press the product into your face and bring the product down your neck. This will deeply penetrate into your pores, leaving your skin with a dewy, radiant look and feel.
